From: Val Z, Sarah K, and Ben M

We landed in Bangalore at about 4:45 am and have been going non-stop this whole time! We thought the traffic was a little crazy this morning, we were told we are in for a treat later today. We got an exclusive tour of the PES Institution here in Bangalore. We were also able to talk to some of the MBA students who had just finished an internal exam. They were just as interested to learn about us as we were about them. The institution is taking very good care of us for which we are very grateful. We learned a lot about how higher education in India is structured, which is very different than the structure in the U.S.

From the airport we enjoyed an hour and half drive in from the out skirts of Bangalore to the inner city. During this time we were able to see a wide variety of houses and general sites in India. The views were INTENSE! From the roof of the building we are staying in, we are able to look over a very beautiful portion of Bangalore and part of the campus. The weather is fairly warm which is really nice because the entire building is open to the outside! So, for those of you stuck in Wisconsin and Minnesota we just thought we should let you know that the weather is a sunny 70 degrees and there is no snow!

Everyone here is doing well and is safe. We are going to rap this up so we can freshen up and catch up on some sleep before we celebrate the New Year! We apologize in advance for an incoherent blog seeing how we have been up for a very long time. :)

How this works

Hello everyone that will be reading this,
The motivation behind creating this blog is that I wanted to give the students the ability to write about and share their experiences with their family and friends while they were on this trip. So how this will hopefully will work is that over the course of the trip the students and staff will log on to this blog and post an experience they had. This way even if your daughter didnt post anything you can still get to see what other students on the trip have been doing and experiencing. So I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures in India.
